Room Acoustics Design and Consulting
How sound energy is controlled differs inside large and small rooms as they are not the same acoustically and requires specific engineered solutions. Each has it's own level of complexity and SoundKinetics has a systematic approach to adjust accordingly. Adaptive Acoustical Control is our design platform from which we create engineered rooms. This works through computer modeling and acoustical measurements.
Computer Modeling Provides prediction of optimal room dimensions, layouts and architectural surfaces. Our tool set for acoustical modeling is Ray Tracing, Finite Element Method (FEM), and Boundary Element Method (BEM). We have created complementary custom utilities and applications. (Note: FEM and BEM are used for small spaces, sub spaces or structures. Applications would be in studio control rooms, home theaters, stage enclosures, dome, concave and cathedral ceilings and walls.)
Acoustical Measurements On site measurements of Impulse Response, ITDG, EDT, T10, T20, T30, RT60, Clarity, Definition, and Low Frequency Spectral Decay. Speech intelligibility MTF, STI and ALCONs.
Noise Control Design and Consulting
This can range from a simple design layout to consulting on how a structure should be designed or retrofitted. This is achieved through computer modeling and noise measurements.
Computer Modeling Sound Isolation Modeling which can be a simple wall structure or multiple rooms and structures. Noise Criteria (NC), Room Criteria (RC), Balanced Noise Criteria (NCB) and Sound Transmission Class STC.
Noise Measurements On site measurements of Noise Criteria (NC), Room Criteria (RC), and Balanced Noise Criteria (NCB)
